Product Overview

This is an intermediate project for the foam disk and not a full tutorial - just the layout of bead loading and tips for success are shared.

These instructions assume you know how to create an 8 strand round braid (Kongo Gumi) with beads.
The bead load is critical for success, so you need to be very careful to double-check your bead count.

    Easy to Follow

Posted by Theresa on 16th May 2015

I haven't had a chance to actually use this pattern yet but it is very easy to follow especially if you have some kumihimo experience already. As long as you read all the notes regarding the set up of the beads you should be fine. Can't wait to make one or ten!!

    Drop Kumihimo Necklace

Posted by Agnes on 15th May 2015

This necklace came out so pretty, gift for my mom for Mother's Day, she loved it! The instructions were so well written I had no problem following them. I did it in a seed bead mix of aqua, turquoise, greens and corals, with aqua rizo beads. Starting another one with red seed beads and red pattern daggers looking good. Thank you!

    BEAUTIFUL DROP KUMIHIMO NECKLACE

Posted by Joyce on 3rd Dec 2014

this is one of the most beautiful kumi necklaces that I have done. The pattern was very easy to follow and the results were breath taking. I did it in black with black drops and did a different colour for the left side of 24 and the left side of 8. I am now doing one in black and burgundy with rose beads occasionally. It is a very classy necklace.
